The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early, and our room had a comfortable extra-large bed with crisp white linens.

Breakfast was as marvellous as the location

Everything seemed perfect and being our second time in the same city and hotel, maybe dinner service would be very well welcome

Breakfast was great, staff was friendly.

The hotel and the rooms (bathrooms) are getting old. Severe signs of being worn out in the corridors. There were no accessories in the bathroom except for shower gel.

The rooms have climate control and cozy carpets, which is great for giving you a comfy stay. the location is super convenient, making it easy to explore around 🗺️. They serve a yummy breakfast with fresh orange juice and crepes - just delicious! Plus, the service here is top-notch.

The breakfast was very rich and of very good quality.

Its nice that there is a multi-storey car park. however, it is way too narrow and very difficult to find.

The Mercure is a bit outdated and needs a facelift.

The room was quiet with a super comfy bed and lovely views, the service was exceptional, and there is convenient parking available on site.

Breakfast was very good and with a large selection. Unfortunately the parking lot (you need one) was very expensive with 19€ for one night! Otherwise all top!!

In coffee machines, the water containers were always empty. Therefore we had to wait often because it had to be filled again and sgain.

The room I stayed in had coffee and tea making facilities and a cozy carpet.

Sensational breakfast and new-fashioned, air-conditioned rooms. Early check-in and excellent service.

Minisafe in the room could not be used because there was no key at the reception.

The hotel's location is amazing, close to many restaurants and bars. the staff is cooperative, the room is fashionable and neat with all necessary facilities for a good rest. the breakfast was delicious, and early check-in was possible. parking is available outside.

for me a great location as i have used it previously so i can be near the train station as i visit essen for a conference,its also not too far away from the town centre

it could get slighlty noisy on a weekend outside the hotel due to it being close too the road.
